Saturday was an off day, back at it today, focusing on the clean and jerk. PR’s today at 82 & 83Kg. Last night we watched the weightlifting meet in California – re-inspired to do great things, focus on training and try and compete next year!
Long time since we bothered to make a video. We have moved to a a Texas Method like training method, feeling it out as we go. Friday is max effort, PR the backsquat at 255lb for 4, attempt was for 5, but loss of concentration caused a dump. Gillian went back and did 2 more after a few minutes rest. PR on the press at 123lbs, and huge PR’s of 59, 60, 61, and 62 Kg today in the snatch. We did three clean and jerks afterwards, of 60, 65, and 70 Kg, tomorrow we’ll go big.
Form starts to break down when the Joe Bonamassa song ends at 59 Kgs, didn’t catch it so much at the time, and kept going until she hit a 62 Kg PR. Bad form today is as good as her old good form 2 months ago.
