Southern Powerlifting Federation (SPF) North Myrtle Beach Classic.

This is the meet that Mac and I competed in yesterday. We had an amazing time complete with lot’s of PR’s. It has been 5 months since my last (and first) powerlifting meet in December 2011. Yesterday I hit a raw total of 960lbs, over 160lbs more than my first meet. Mac competed for the first time. Both of us won our classes.

The meet was exceptionally well run and organized. We met a lot of cool people and got to see lifters put up some pretty big numbers. They even fed us lunch which was a welcome surprise. Jesse Rodgers puts on a top notch event.

I hit all 9 lifts yesterday and surpassed my goal of a 900lb meet total. I also PR’d my squat, bench and deadlift at the meet. It all came together.

Squat: 285/300/310
Bench: 225/240/250
Deadlift: 345/375/400

We look forward to getting back to our regular training this week. We took a rest week going into the meet and I nearly went crazy.
